Product Description: Screens often reveal more than they hide. Here, Thomas Pheasant introduces a high touch modern screen that speaks volumes about the owner. Just as Roman mosaics often had elaborate borders, the top and bottom bands draw on an intricate radiant relief pattern, rendered in custom cast resin, inspired by the mosaic floors of St. Mark's Basilica in Venice. The bands are Cameo lacquer. The field is quartered mahogany and readily mixed with other furniture or artwork. The back side is a finished, full-length mahogany panel, with a very different elegance, altogether ready to float. While making a statement, The Radiant Screen is also uncommonly practical. The height is a return to the grand scale of another era, and the three panel width is manageable. It was designed for a room with height, and it fills vertical space. Owners will consider multiples, showing the screen flat against a wall, or separating the individual panels for use in place of art.
