Product Description: The Arca Chest recalls the rebirth of luxury in the post-war period. The figured Paldao veneers running vertically on the doors were new, exotic, and de rigueur for the most glamorous elevators of the era. At the same time, it was very much the age of the grand ocean liner, refined in every detail - to include handles akin to the recessed star pulls on the Arca. The most unusual feature of this chest might, however, be the use of flush nail head trim to give the illusion of a mitered frame. This is an example of a very old and often very casual motif updated for a Modern but still relaxed look. An easy juxtaposition to the color and texture of the soil lacquer base.
