Product Description: Hollywood promotes an idealized way of living-a celebration of all things fashionable and uncluttered-in the interest of quickly making a point. Thomas Pheasant designed the Diana with the idea of capturing and recasting that fantasy. The bulk sometimes associated with 1940s glamour gave way to the leanest possible expression, and three lined drawers increased functionality. The always theatrical legs became more sweeping and more elegant. Even the corners returned as classical capitals with a carved Greek key. A ribbed cast Bronze banding, an entirely custom detail, neatly wraps the entire case from one capital to the next. The Diana is a Best of Baker object - a timeless finishing touch. As with all of Thomas Pheasant's work, this is an original design-modern, glamorous, and easily mixed. The Diana Vanity Chair, visually dramatic and sensibly designed to have the arms go under the table, completes the set.
