Product Description: The Glebe follows Michael S Smith's preference for more sculptural and approachable traditional forms. With a mottled Coromandel Brown finish, it is visually neutral, superbly functional, highly nuanced, and suggestive of something exotic. While nominally a bedside chest, the Glebe is boldly scaled and more than adequate for any application. Inspired by the 17th century English chests, the Glebe replaces period marquetry with a combination of raised and recessed panels. The circles and diamonds become a tone-on-tone story of physical relief.
