The Marat Chair is likewise an original Jacques Garcia design - drawing on the klismos of the Greeks and his own Paris-of-the-moment Sorbonne Lounge Chair. A scalloped profile and handsome quarter cut mahogany back are less French than the language of style. In a nod to Baker's capability, Garcia wood-wraps the back and part of the sides, framing the interior fabric.
