Plinth base. x000D--x000D-The Normandie is a reference to a particularly luxurious transatlantic ocean liner, bridging French and American Art Deco, in a surge of travel first prompted by Prohibition. The relatively low Modern profile of this form allows it to anchor a large painting or sculpture-as an alternative to media.
